George,
Now Stevie has got a bit of free time on his hands, he might get a game in Arsenals back four!
Jay,
Instead of throwing in the towel, I am instead going to plot a path to recovery for us to mount a serious challenge.....and I mean this season.
There are 7 games to go before we all reach the HALF WAY STAGE!! of the league season. over the next 4 or 5 games we aim to close the gap between us and City and Southhampton. Then ,over the xmas and new year fixtures we aim to come out the other end very close to or actually in 2nd place. If at that point with HALF the season left we are within single digit points of Chelsea, then we have a chance and provided our injuries have cleared up and we have also made one or possibly two good signings in the window we can give it a real go in the new year. If we are not in that position, or are double figure digits behind Chelsea then maybe we can start to be resigned to the fact that Chelsea will win the thing....... Now isnt that a better scenario than just throwing in the towel on behalf of everyone just because your own team is performing pathetically?
Now, bearing in mind my points, give us an objective plan that will put Arsenal back in the hunt...... taking into account you can only type a limited amount of words on this forum!

Arsenal fan arrested for throwing red wine at the manure bench- hilarious
Just last week, a YouGov poll was released that painted a picture of the 'average' fan for each club. Everyone chuckled as Gunners fans were stereotyped as shopping at Waitrose, playing chess and reading The Economist.
And now this: the most middle class hooligan in the history of sport. Absolutely hilarious.

Wegner Out- Sweeping statement mate, after all he has done for your club!!.
Agree with the boys, typical Arsenal performance, to cute around the box, you could and should have been 3.0 up after 20 mins but must say our patch work defence played well considering, a bit of a smash and grab but we will take it, it actually reminded me of Newcastle away in 96 where we got murderded but came away with a win, also a bit like the 2005 FA cup Final in Cardiff so one sided but lost on pens.
Been a good week, I had top two days in Glasgow with England (Best England away atmosphere for years, at least since Argentina in Geneva about 6 years ago). then to sit and enjoy a surprising victory against the Arsenal in the pub with the lads topped it off nicely.
Watching developments at Anfield closely this week as I can see Brenda getting binned if the dippers lose midweek in Champs league (Jurgen the German or dont be surprised if the Fat Spanish Waiter rock up).
Hull at home next followed by Saints away then the small mater of the dippers, lets hope the injury list subsides as I can see another 9 points on their way. Onwards and upwards.

George,
Like David Cameron, I have outlined our long term plan for this season and unlike Jay and Arsen, I am sticking to it for the time being.
As for the hapless scousers, last season they gave it a go because they had two strikers banging in the goals and that covered up the averageness of the remainder of the team. This year they havent got those strikers, the replacements are not good enough so the average players are being found out. It is quite simple to evaluate really if you think about it mate.
As for only playing once a fortnight instead of twice a week, from my experience that is a detriment not a bonus as it is very difficult to form understandings in the team when you are playing infrequently, wheras playing twice a week gives you a chemistry in the team where everyone knows each others game and dont give me any bullshit about tiredness in November, or any month come to that. That is something that the 'jobs for the boys' fitness industry has duped everyone with. I dont remember the scousers whilst winning the league and European cup over 60 games in muddy conditions with a squad of 14 players complaining about tiredness.

If l'arse and L'pool meet in the fa cup and it goes to pens then it could finish something like this

After the easy win against the gunners, last night was the 2nd building block of the 'long term plan' completed. If we are to get above Southampton in the time scales I have highlighted they had to start dropping a few points. With City, Arsenal then Utd up next they will drop points there but dropping two to a useless Villa is a Brucey bonus. It is easy this football prediction game isnt it fellas.

if it said without bias that would rule out everyone bar the league leaders fans (and the odd palace fan) who have no aspirations but are just happy to rule over our northern adversaries(that includes l'arse)

George,
You only rule over northen adversaries when you actually win something and not before. Anyway congratulations on getting through what must be the easiest ever draw for an English team in the CL and I see the bitters have given themselves a chance because Munich with 10 men and 5 minutes to go suddenly thought " hang on a minute, If we gift these mugs a couple of goals they might sneak through and we could play them again later in the knockout stages and receive a certain gimmee. What I found funny though was the European Champions rock up in a crucial game and the German section who are already through was bouncing and the rest of the half empty blue sections just sat there glumly and silent, just like Stamford bridge actually except there are no spaces at Stamford Bridge. Is there something about playing in that horrible blue colour that just sends everyone mute?

dakey you obviously didnt watch the shalke game because if you had you would have heard the chelsea fans outsing the germans from start to finish in germany!. As for cl games you have to be in it or shut up because you were so poor last season( and this so far) youre pathetic little lot couldnt even make the europa league and had to play in the 3rd round of the league cup. that should have been a doddle as mk dons are no shalke or bayern but you lost 4-0 - what a joke outfit- lmfao

George,
You are correct, I didnt watch the Shalke game, I would rather have pulled some teeth, that group was too easy for you and that is not entertainment in my view. Your fans can have a chirp at away games just like the bitters but the home games are lamentable for atmosphere at both places. As for being a small club, dont make me laugh, our protest offshoot FC Utd are bigger than Chelsea and City combined and for all your decent start we have out trophied you by a mile on almost any barometer of success you care to mention. So if I were Chelsea I would concentrate on maintaining form and fitness and whatever you do dont look over your shoulder at the re-awakening juggernaut slowly but surely slipping through the gears.

George,
Wilshire was extremely unlucky, if that dick head Dean had sent him off for butting Fellaini in the face directly in front of him then he wouldnt have been on the pitch to get injured. I shudder every time we have that man reffing our games. Howard Webb he isnt!
