the goings on at City (and to a certain extent elsewhere) re. over-rated players on excessive contracts does show just how uneven the playing field is. They could literally oput ut a team of non starters that would likely finish mid table . Mind you at the other extreme the lack of investment at my club is appalling and it's just as well we have a truly great manager that will no doubt move on because of this - our loss

Dave,
I am sorry but I cannot let the farce that is playing itself out at Eastlands pass without comment.
City receive a jaw dropping offer of 35 MILLION POUNDS for Utds ex reserve striker and turn it down! they value him at 50 million. The problem City have created is that their valuation is compared to the 25 million they have paid for the likes of Dzeko, Barry, Ballotelli, Lescott and so on and compared to that he would be worth twice the price of those average players. Unfortunately for City, no one else rates their players that highly and will not meet the silly wages that they are demanding so we now have a queue of players who they cant move on, Bellamy, Bridge, Adebayour, now Tevez and loads more who are all being paid top dollar to sit on their fat backsides and who can blame them? What is Citys answer to this dilemma? in the midst of all this professional ineptitude they continue to behave like a homeless man who has just scooped the euro lottery and still spray their money around indiscriminately like a mad dogs shite. They are destroying the fabric of football as we know it, far worse than anything Chelsea have ever done, indeed they make Chelsea appear like a paragon of virtue. That is what happens when you give someone with no class unlimited funds and despite the obvious danger to our beloved game, I, for one, find it absolutely hilarious!
Cheers, Dakey

And as predicted by many a huge sponsorship deal has materialised which enables all their big spending to fall within the new UEFA financial rules.
Lots of people said that the big clubs would get around this by lucrative deals from "associated" companies.
The deal they got is staggering...considering they aren't a big Club name. But in saying that I don't think that there's a thing UEFA can do about it....are they going to go around and limit what you can get and from who.
Then again if they continue getting stuck with players on 150k/week who won't leave (and who can blame them) and keep paying funny money for new players they might need an increased Sponsorship deal in a couple of years!!

Usual drivel Dakey
The quicker your mind takes in the fact that money now means nothing to us, your petty jealousies will subside a little and you will begin to live a happier life.
In one City we have the richest sports franchise in the world and the one most in debt!!!! Quite astonoshing eh!!
If we chose to sell Tevez it will be on our terms, a little different to your mockery last season when young spud face "rogered" ( thanks chaddyowl and Jay), old baconface into submission in his attempt to be given a contract somewhere near any of our lads.
We live in different worlds mate
Now whats that phrase about the moon and rising??

Shane,
You are absolutely spot on mate, if the bitters keep spending double the price for players and twice the salaries on long contracts, then before long. no sorry, it is happening now, they will have a posse of players who dont play, are not wanted and who refuse to move on. The only way round it is to pay a large portion of their wages for other clubs to take them on loan. That is why I am questioning the ability of the executives and management at the club. You would have to be severely retarded to do business like they are even if you can afford it.
Dave, you are right, the city does have the richest club and the club with the most debt. Is it not strange that for five years now the richest club have won only one FA cup, beating the likes of the mighty Leicester City, Notts County and Stoke City along the way, while the other has managed the crippling debt so well that they have picked up 4 league titles, a CL, a World Club Championship, not to mention an array of League cups etc. So you are correct my friend, we live in different worlds, ours is full of trophies while yours is still barron and bereft of anything significant.
Just to finish on the sponsorship front, Our deal with Nike, a proper sponsor, worth 400 million quid will keep us going for a while. I think Eufa may well see through your 400 million deal with Etihad ( they cant even spell shithead correctly) for what it is worth. I dont think a sponsorship deal with a company that is actually owned by your owner would pass any fit and proper company test, do you?
Cheers, Dakey

Leicester, Notts County Stoke along the way and also some retards from the cack side of Manchester
Oh sorry when you lose the comp is worthless sorry I forgot about that!
Picking up 4 league titles, a CL, a World Club Championship when in debt!
Why havent you made profit from these achievments?
When you dont win the above, ( which will happen very soon) what will happen to YOUR debt then?? Theres only 1 way for the Rednosed side of Manchester and that is down my friend
Cheers Chaddy

Chaddy,
You are more bitter than the bitters themselves, for 20 odd years now we have been listening to people like you spouting things like "thats it for Utd" "the only way is down" "you are on a downward spiral" as well as the last five years of "tick tock, the blue moon is rising". The law of averages says that one of these years you may be correct, but until that day slither back under the stone that you crawled out from under. Our profit by the way has gone on, yes, paying interest payments, but also buying players and keeping ticket prices among the lower end of the premier league spectrum. I like debating these issues, but I prefer it when the action starts and we can really get down and dirty.

Dave,
You are into the fifth year with your last two owners, I did not say five years with your present owner. Your previous owner might be a pauper compared to your present one, but he is still richer than Roman Abramovich! You really must study my replys as you will then start to have an accurate feel for what is actually happening away from your ivory tower. One thing is for certain, we have been lumbered with our massive debt for more than 5 years and I thought that it was only amatuer golf that worked to a handicap system. Cant complain too much at the moment as even with our handicap we are miles in front of the opposition.

Our previous owner has no money whatsoever it was all impounded. He invested very little. Lose your made up 5 years story and given the current lads the wonderful credit that's deserved

Dave,
I am not going to let this go until you recognise your recent history. Your previous owner bought the club with his reported wealth at 15.1 billion pounds, he had begun to invest in players and had appointed his management team. after over a year and when it became apparent that he had shafted his countrys people to accumulate his vast wealth, he immediately put the club on the market and sold it to your current owners. The fact that he was unsuccessful during his tenure does not allow you to dismiss that period as irrelevant. You had a very rich owner and did next to nothing. You have an even richer owner now and to date have done only marginally better. Those are the facts and until you actually do something tangible regarding major silverware, those will remain the facts. When or if you make that step up, I will then give you the credit for it and not a minute before. Thats my last word on this subject, lets move on to something else.
Cheers, Dakey

Dave,
Going off the subject, I was killing time last night after work ( i am out with big Jeff changing out a firepump on the Ninian South platform, we are sharing a room and he snores worse than me, we have nicknamed him Bunter the grunter.) and I googled Mather & Platt reunion and your ugly mug came up on the photo section among others. Is there another one planned as there was quite a few of the old lads there and it would be nice to catch up with them again if I am home.

Chaddy,
The top comps are the CL and the Premier league. Although it is good to win the domestic cups and we should know as we have won more FA and league cups combined than anyone else, they can hardly be classed as top competitions these days as the top teams regularly field weakened teams in them. So yes it is an achievement for City and a step forward from the dross they have been serving up for god knows how many years, but until they win a League or CL they will not have arrived on the top table. Simple as!

Dave,
As the whinger prepares to wing it over the Atlantic, we are told that his replacement is going to be Aguero. Now, as with Clichy and Savic, the pertinent and relevent question must be..... who the hell is he? I am sure however that you are going to explain to us exactly why he is world class. I look forward to that assessment.
It has just dawned on me that the renaming of your ( sorry, I mean our, Manchester taxpayer) stadium as the Etihad stadium is to do with a local support group who re-educates and supports local pshycologically damaged City fans and its full moniker is Eastlands Training Institute for the Hapless And Deluded. Yes, the ETIHAD Stadium is just about right.

Dave,
I cannot reveal my sources but I have just been informed that the new owner of the Sports Bar is a City fan. You havent gone and spent some of your hard earned millions have you?
I noticed on another thread that you have been partying with your neighbours on Condado, it must have seemed like the good old days on John Robinson Walk when me and Yvonne were your next door neighbours. Is that your lot for this year or are you going back again, We are hoping to get out for a week or so in late August, depending on work commitments.
Cheers, Dakey
