not a bad set of results. howver re parking the bus villa were 1 nil down and didnt change the park the bus formation at all very strange. man u season starts now as there easy start has finished, lets see how they do against the top teams! hopefully they can take some points of the other bitters as they look the only real challenge this season bar southampton and spurs.
dakey i think you should have another look at the rooney challenge, hacking at a player kung fu style is not quite what i would call a professional foull and it doesnt really matter where you do it on the pitch which is why he has got a 3 match ban so i really cant see where your sympathy vote comes from but im guessing you are still wearing those stupid red tinted glasses lol! check your managers words mate as well as your facts - i think he is regretting making him captain!

George,
He attempted a professional foul but didnt do it quite professionally so I have no complaints on that, although there was a handball in the build up to it that we didnt get, just like the build up to the two leicester pens.
some extremely funny things yesterday including Mangalas defending, but the funniest thing by far was Wellbecks 'air shot' from 6 yards that tied his own legs in a knot but then actaully proved to be a great dummy for Arsenals goal. now that is the Wellbeck that the Utd fans came to recognise and tolerate, I wonder if the Gunners fans will be as supportive when it starts costing them points.

Dakey like you that was a great DUMMY!
Bad performance at home again.
Next week worries me... and Chelski to purchase the league in March at this rate. What a filthy thought.

Reports today falsly stated that the Etihad was half empty because City fans preferred cookery programmes on TV. I have to side with the fans on this occasion as practically every City fan in Manchester does go to the matches.... the fact that there are only about 40,000 of them is not their fault.
However, after a miserly 1 point from 6 and a royal battle looming with moscow for the europa league place, plus the oldest player ever to score in the CL out pacing the pedestrian plodders at the back, the enlarging of the ground continues apace without any strategy to fill the existing spaces never mind the extra ones.
As I despair over yet more injuries at Utd, the predicament over at the Emptihad gives me no end of pleasure because lets face it, if you cannot laugh at the goings on there then there is no hope for you, it is just rib breakingly hilarious.

4 goals in 5 games....... no! 1 goal in 4 games and 3 goals in one game against sunday league standard team at home. Dont get carried away Jay like I did for years with Danny waiting for him to produce regularly. If he proves me wrong I will be happy for him and you as he spent 14 years with us and was shipped out which was not his fault, he didnt ask to leave so good luck Danny.
As for the lamentable bitters, Big CL night and I need to say no more than 37,509!!!!????. Do they deserve top football at that sad little club?

Chaddy,
CSKA Moscow have complained about having to play their home games behind closed doors. The spokeman said " its not that we dont accept punishment for our fans misdemeanors, it just that it will give our next opponents Man City an unfair advantage as it will be just like a home game for them!!

Dakey in terms of being wrong..... Are you in fact ever anything else these days?
Everytime you predict or forecast anything you are always wrong.
As for Danny boy you never played him consistently in a central role and we to be fair have to play Ozil behind him in the 10 role. Then we might see both of them really shine.

Jay,
Where am I wrong? Danny Welbeck failed to make the grade at Utd despite being given plenty of opportunities and also in his favoured central role. to be fair he had much better strikers at Utd to compete with so yes, he will get an extended chance in his prefered central role at Arsenal. Whether he proves good enough over the peice remains to be proved. On the evidence so far he has made a promising start, but he has also missed several glaring chances that have helped move you off the pace in the league so there has been as much bad as good...... which is why we binned him.
The other thing I have been commenting on lately is the lack of fans at the Emptihad, what have I said there that is wrong? The empty spaces are all there in front of you for all to see and it is very funny.

Jay. arse 9/2 . having some of that. early sending off or dodgy goal anything can happen. in the meantime watching a fully rested manure play a tired everton, if they cant play well today they never will. bet van der valk will be moaning about his players going away for euro fixutres or will he do a fergie and just pull them out as the poor lads are tired ..
Must admit though dr spok's son does look a good signing! beam him up to stamford bridge scotty! mind you he didnt make it at barca as he needs alot of sleep so maybe wouldnt cut it with the big boys!
However as important as sport is my thoughts at this time are with Bianchi, it was a great race from Hamilton but good to see the gestures of goodwill to a fellow racer rather than gloat in self endulgance- get well soon !

Super Danny Welbeck....NOT!!
It becomes more and more apparent as the season ticks on that the only credible challenge to Chelsea is going to come from UTD and City and no one else. The international break comes at a good time for us after 2 hard fought wins and gives our injured players a bit of time to get back into it. I think as Xmas looms a whole different picture will emerge with the Gunners, Spurs and Liverpool out of the frame and the two Manchester clubs leading the charge on Chelsea.
