Well done Martin Kaymer , what a fantastic display of golf. The 13th at condado is one of the toughest holes i have played but great fun, however pinehurst seemed to have 18 table top holes and I have never seen pros struggle so much.

Now come on England lets beat Uruguay and lets all get behind the team and stop slagging off individual players, its sickening.

Jay,

Not seen any other figures but I would bet that Chelseas figures pale into insignificance compared to another little club I could name!

Georgey

First thing they teach you in the Skool of life mate is revenue means nothing.

You can turnover what you like but what's the point when you make a loss.

You mob makes massive losses and their "revenue" does not cover their costs.

do you need an abacus or an extra set of fingers.... Oh I forgot your chelski so your sorted on the fingers front!

For once jay i am in agreement, last season was a transition and although we came close to winning 2 majors we were a little bit shy due to fullbacks in wrong positons and no world class goalscorer. hopefully the additions of diego costa, fabregas  , courtois back in goal, and maybe luiz left back will mean we can attack the major comps with a bit more belief.. The sale of Luiz has helped finance these  plus we have lost a few high earners at end of contract. maybe you can do the maths for me please. It would be nice if you could give us a bit more competition but as tony adams (wasnt he in rehab with merson)  says you will be lucky to finish 4th again.

Well,

Just one more game to do my patriotic duty and cheer on the bunch of overpaid underachievers known as the England football team. Then I can forget my frustration and settle down to watch our new manager and probable captain lead the Dutch to glory before doing the same down at the theatre of dreams.

One thing I will say though after watching Spain bow out last night........ Chelsea have got probably the worst two centre forwards in profeessional football, without a shadow of doubt.

Having watched some highlights this morning, I have to say we were robbed by the spanish bottle merchant masquerading as a referee. How the Uruguayan Captain did not get a second yellow for his blatant body check at 0-0 is beyond me. That is a nailed on yellow whatever footballing country you hail from. No attempt to play the ball just straight for the man, now that would have made a big difference at that stage and the ineptitude of Gerrard, Cahill and Jagielka in dealing with a long punt from the keeper would not have mattered in the end.

Make the most of the good weather over the weekend, it is not going to last. There is a pile of shite forcast to blow in next week all the way from Brazil!

All the crap Rooney has had to take from ABUs everywhere, He played out of position in the first game and produced a brilliant assist that should have got us a point till the hapless defenders cocked it up. He scored against Uruguay that should have seen us into a last game situation untill the hapless defenders, ably assisted by the useless Gerrard cocked it up again. I dont hear anyone panning Gerrard or Cahill or Johnson or Jagielka. Is it any wonder most Utd fans dont give a flying F... about the England team. Oh and I have not mentioned Hart diving out of the way of Suarezs winner. If he had stood up tall and large he would have saved that shot.

Come on you Dutch masters!

Dont like having a go at individual footballers who have had a bad WC but this did make me laugh. Must say I think CFC dodged a bullet with this player though because his 300k wage packet does seem to be weighing him down.

George,

At least he turned up. in the two games that mattered (not the 3rd game once Spain were out) Rooney scored a goal and beautifully created another. If the lousy defence, ably assisted by Gerrard, had not conceded 4 goals from the 5 attempts on our goal then that goal and assist would have given us a sniff going into the last game. I would contend that only Rooney has stepped up out of everyone in the squad. Now lets compare that to the performance of your two centre forwards Costa and Torres. Between them they shouldered the centre forward duties in the two games, (unlike Rooney who was played out of position in the first game) No goals or assists for them two planks, now if we are talking about dodging a bullitt lets look right there mate. Add to that Cahills lamentable showing and the boys down the Bridge really have little to crow about. Even our reserve striker Chico who came on last night looked head and shoulders better than your two clowns. Case closed!!
