Neil,
You are correct, Rio is past it..... just like Ryan Giggs is past it as well. They have both been among our top performers this year in what could be a record breaking year. I agree with Chaddy though, I hope Hodgson opts for other players as although I am as patriotic as any Englishman, the constant chants at England games by the fervent ABU brigade against our players over a very long period means we couldnt give a toss if any of our players are selected for "losers FC" otherwise known as the England team. Save it for the PL Rio and for people who appreciate your talents.

Kev,
As awesome as that table is and almost unbelievable that one club can dominate like that, I do apologise profusely as I have stupidly not mentioned that no less than 7 players on that list will be adding another one to their totals in just a couple of weeks time!........silly me, eh

Let me try and educate Chaddy.
Good teams win leagues, great teams retain leagues. Conclusion, City are not a great team.
Great teams not only retain leagues, they regularly regain leagues after setbacks. Conclusion, Utd are a great team.
Legendary teams regain leagues after a setback with a record number of points and or a record points margin. Conclusion, Whether this Utd team is not just a great team, but a Legendary team is to be decided very shortly.
Chaddys expected response....... Bollocks!!

Calm down Kev, control yourself mate.
I have just seen the funniest managers interview of all time, Rafa has said that Chelseas fixture congestion should be seen as a sign of success! Where did he dig that little snippet up from? was it the Roberto Mancini book of football success? Now I know I am not a premier league manager earning millions but even I can tell him that battling it out desperately for fourth place in the league after finishing sixth last year is most definately not success (unless you are Arsen Wenger) and struggling manfully through the Europa league ties because you failed to qualify through into the CL knockout stage is again most definately not success. I think we can see right there why he is an interim manager rather than a proper one. He must be laughing his bits off every night that there are still people willing to throw mega money at him to ruin their clubs.

Kev,
In cloud cookoo land at the end of last season we were finished, there had been an irreversible power shift to the money clubs with their shiney trophies sat proudly on display. Meanwhile in the real world the main man was plotting the inevitable red fightback and today saw the first record crumble. A massive 25 wins out of the first 30 league games has completely blown the opposition out of the water and at the same time completely and utterly silenced reasoned debate on this forum, where everyone who was so vociferous at our perceived decline cannot now be heard above the deafening sound of a pin dropping.

Agree with you there Chaddy, you absolutely ripped Newcastles reserves to peices! Pity you havnt done it more often and a pity we have not had a few more of them 1-0 wins then you may have been a bit closer on both the points and goal difference fronts!

What a horrible night I just had, let me explain. I woke up in a cold sweat with a feeling of horror, I had just dreamt that we were playing the bitters next week and they had fluked a win courtesy of a bent turkish ref who was guesting in the PL and we all thought Oh no its going to happen again. Then in the cold light of day and back in reality it dawned on me that even if that was to happen then we have already blown that little ship out of the water and would still have an insurmountable 12 point lead. Phew, panic over. I think I will give that bedtime cheese snack a miss in future!

Sometimes a possible little bet jumps out in front of you, what odds would I get for Fergie to complete a hat trick inside 10 days of 3 consecutive managers getting the sack after defeats to Utd? O Neil gone, Rafa and Manky to follow shortly. I know its a long shot, but I think I am going to lump my house on it!

Over at Condado at the moment and managed to catch the game in the Clover. Must say, had trouble dragging myself from the beach as it was such a fantastic day and the PL was sown up long ago. Will be back in time to get to OT for the Bitters next week. As you say the result barely matters but there'll be plenty of time for gloating (if any Bitters turn up). Must give Chavvy credit. His propensity to talk bollocks is increasing but, unlike everyone else, at least he still posts. No doubt George will be back if they have another jammy game against us on Monday and avoid a thrashing!
Chavvy - stay hopeful as there is always next season to look forward to - trying to get out of the group stages of the CL, battling for second place in the PL and trying to pick up a cup somewhere provided you keep getting home draws against lower league teams!
