some interesting games today. Arsenal certainly look better than last year but had they been a bit more direct they really could have punished Citeh. Citeh need to to give themselves a shake or they will have a bit of a gap to close, could it be a little bit of complacency there ? I thought that even when L'Pool scored first it would only be a matter of time before the devils scored and eventually over powered them. They have a mountain to climb !
I'm liking the look of the table tight now and it could have been so much better for us but for the outrageous reffing and the blind linesman at the Newcastle game last Monday but as Moysey says let's see where we are after 10 games and take it from there.

At long last JT has done the decent thing and gone from international football. The only sadness is he didn't do it long ago and that no England manager seemed to have the balls to stand up to him, even after he cost us the last World Cup. Good riddance. Happy days indeed

Jt had to retire because his position was no longer tenable. He isnt a racist and this was proved in a court of law. His 2 best friends are black and that would hardly be the case if he were racist- but because of comments from people like kev below (and you are more intelligent than the average neandertal england fan) then getting booed by your own fans is a disgrace and he has every right to step down, And jay i wasnt talking about the pens not given ag stoke,.those were correct decisions. Maybe take those dakey red glasses off now you 2 are sitting together at games arm in arm but well done for taking a point off citeh. Keeps the blue machine firmly on top of the table. Well done.

I think you will find that after the game a few Liverpool fans decided in their despair at the result to start with the munich songs and then a few Utd fans responded, not with hillsborough chants, but the chant of always the victim, never your fault. It must be stressed that it was only a few on BOTH sides and the event was otherwise respected impeccably by all. I do agree though that if lively banter oversteps the mark then those people should be banned for life.
It is funny though that you choose to bring up that topic just when your own teams football is giving you nothing to shout about, You are the modern day Blackburn sinking back into obscurity.

I will have a go at guessing what your post will say after the game, " I cant believe it! we had two nailed on pens turned down and then that poxy ref goes and gives them one in the last minute and that was Never a penalty in a million years, RVP should be banned for 20 games for diving! How can we have all that possession 20 odd chances and still lose to the worst MAN UTD team in living memory"

At airport returning home. a Massive thanks to Dave for the best day and we got a point so reasonable happy as I would have taken that pre kick off.
Jay your right the w...ker has the touch off a hippo and the brain of a Rooney. well he might not be that thick but i am begining to wounder. I think City are struggling to get going and a please we played them now the talent they have is without question but was that a great Arsenal performance of did City play badly time will tell.
Chelski and Man U nicked it AGAIN it wont last and George and Dakey will come back down to earth if the performances dont improve.

A closer league this year but top four will remain although I would love to see Everton do well Moyes deserves that.

Do you mean the gold plated city ground that is owned by manchester council tax payers, 2/3rds of which are Utd fans? In other words a gold plated council house full of foreigners. The only difference between that council house and other council houses that are full of foreigners is that the others are full up!!

Now, Now Jay,
I thought me and you were buddies this year, standing tall against the corrupt and morally bereft of this world. People in our beautiful city ( no matter what Neil thinks of it) and including the few city fans that actually live here know that Utd fans far outweigh our blue cousins, something along the lines of your lot and Spurs and if the day comes when City and Spurs actually bite the bullit and aquire bigger stadia you will see what I mean.
Two thirds may be a slight play on words but just like " 2/3rds of Arsenal fans leave the ground early" it would not be entirely accurate, but not far away either.

I have nothing against the City
Spent some time Sunday Night and all Monday and the place seems great full of life, its the weather that nearly killed me!!!!!!
As for the agrument of who as the most fans I can only go by my observations.
I see more people in Man U shirts walking round London than I did in manchester. The split that did wear shirts seemed close with poss City edging it but could not be sure. It was great speaking to some of the people who did have Utd shirts on as they had the same accents as me and were all up for the weekend as well....lol.

You are right about the Scum most support originates in the posh belt outside london hench the nickname as that was where all their money comes from. They keep talking about a new stadium but untill they are sure they can get sucess and CL footie they will never get the crowds to pay for it.
Did you note that nearly all crowds this weekend were at capacity except Wigan, when you look at the top leagues in spain and italy you see how strong that makes us
Must admit the banter between both sets on Sunday was a credit to football as was the respect show pre kick off in the applaus both clubs should be proud.
