Kev,
There are a few things that spring to mind, but I will just answer the last one, 19 league titles to us and 2 to City in our entire histories. Let someone else have a crack at the rest. Its a good job you asked now because in a couple of months time it will be 20-2

Well we know that one figure won't be changing for either Manchester Clubs....don't know which line referred to FA Cups.
Oops there's another one I just can't seem to place it at the moment....

Okay - time up. Here's the answers to the quiz. As usual Dakey was the only one with any useful input continuing to show the lack of football knowledge abounding in some areas:
2 - 0 Number of Intercontinental / World Club Championships won by Utd and City
1 - 1 Number of EUFA / CWCs won by Utd and City
3 - 0 Number of European Cups / Champions Leagues won by Utd and City
4 - 2 Number of league cups won by Utd and City
11 - 5 Number of FA Cups won by Utd and City
19 - 2 Number of league championships won by Utd and City
The message is that great clubs are built over time by their principles and achievements not purchased in a couple of years and by winning an odd FA Cup. As Liverpool fans used to say to us - come back when you've won a few more!
By the way - are any City fans feeling persecuted today? Kompany sent off for a two footed challenge against us but Dalglish allowed to substitute Maxi after his? I suspect that the fact we were playing a big club at their ground on Saturday influenced the referee. A noisy home support can make the difference.

Dakey I'm in Dubai and just checkin out the latest inputs. Are you tellin Tony porkies about attending matches????
Your mate Kevs quiz looks very similar to one that our Ben does every now and then when you can distort any figures you like!!!! Ben is 9!!!
Came straight to the airport from Anfield and not seen the Richards handball, I'm sure I'll be gutted when I do.
Tryin to find somewhere that will stay open to watch City on Sky. It starts at 12.00 midnight here.
From the blueskies over the desert where the Blue moon is rising, Love you all x,,,,,,, Well most of you

Dave,
Bit confused mate, told my blue buddy Tony that I dont go regular anymore, prefer the comfort of my barstool in the local and you are accusing me of lying. What are you saying? that I do go to all the matches? Not been on a regular basis since the FA cup final in 1999 followed by that heady night in Barcelona. I was sat there in the Nou Camp with my 12 year old son Ryan and It closed the circle from when my dad took me to Wembley in 1968 when I was 11 years old. Sandwiched between those European Cup triumphs were 20 years of crap followed by 10 years of glory and I thought it just doesnt get any better than this. I have had the privilige to see my team win 2 european cups 30 years apart and whatever the rivalry, if you, tony, chaddy or Shampers are ever lucky enough to sample one you will never forget it. Think of the pleasure of a 3rd division play off win at Wembley and increase it 10 fold and that is how I can describe the feeling. Enjoy your latest jaunt in Dubai, I am sure you will find a bar that will be showing city on a black and white portable tv in the corner, with all the big screens showing Utd.
Cheers, Dakey

excitement building ..................
Head-to-head
- Manchester City have managed just two wins at Goodison Park in 14 Premier League visits.
- This is the 170th meeting between the sides. Everton have won 64, Manchester City 63 and there have been 42 draws.
- Neither side has managed to score more than two goals in a match in their last 15 encounters since Manchester City's 5-1 win in May 2004.
Everton
- Everton have failed to score more than once in their last 10 Premier League fixtures.
- The Toffees are the only Premier League side to use all three subs in all 22 games this season.
- The 78 shots on target Everton have allowed their opponents to register against them this season is the lowest total in the league.
- Louis Saha has not scored a Premier League goal for 942 minutes.
- David Moyes is still one short of his 150th Premier League victory as Everton manager.
- Phil Neville could make his 650th club career appearance.
Manchester City
- City are set to start February as Premier League leaders - the last eight Premier League titles have been won by sides who topped the table at the start of February.
- David Silva's 12 assists this season is five more than any other Premier League player has managed.
- The Citizens have scored 60 league goals this season, the same amount as they managed in the whole of last season.
- None of Manchester City's next six matches are against a team in the current top half.
- Victory would be Roberto Mancini's 50th in the Premier League.
- Carlos Tevez will not play but will be in Argentina laughing at the generosity of his pay packet and doing absolutely nothing to help his team win the league

Well Jeb,
What do you think of that then? The English 'Barcelona' out fought and out played by Evertons reserves! not a Centre Forward or Centre Half in sight, but still a magnificent performance by the Toffees. The Great Laser Blue collapse gathers momentum by the day! If it was not for Webbs dereliction of duty against Spurs, City would now be third behind Utd and Spurs. the other week it was Sunderlands ex reds putting the spoke in, tonight it was Darren Gibson and Phil Nevilles turn. Once a red always a red!
15 games left and entering squeakey bum time, things are going to get more interesting from now on!

Even Webb is now a Ciddy fan
Level at the end of January ............. the run in should favour City, Yaya is back from his hols, and Koule will now be match fit, Kompany has a game under his belt, the weather will warm up (we like warmer weather) .............. it's there for the taking.
And Dakey, i went to The Camp Nou as well in 99, then 2 days later went darn to Larnden to watch the divvy 3 play off final, believe me when i say one was far more important than the other, and how the gap has closed in those 12 years ............ unbelievable Jeff
Oh, and the best game i went to see Manure play was the 3-0 home to Barcelona, mid 80s when the crowd at the swamp still had something about it, that's my final word on this matter, cheers

oh yes, how very satisfying was that ! the relative paupers claimed their victory through team spirit and with great heart. I thought every Everton player gave their all but special mention for Straqualursi who I thought was just magnificent given his work rate and endeavour.
Yes Dakey I keep telling you that Jonny Evans is an Everton player in waiting and the sooner Fergie gives him up the better (and of couse he is a Norn Iron man into the bargain !).
City are missing Toure who gives them a bit of bite and drive.
The season has really just begun now as panic sets in at the bottom of the table (no easy games now if there ever was) and you need more than a big pay packet to win games in the best league in the world.
So now that's Everton 65 - City 63
and still no sign of Tevez (let him rot I say)

Jeb, not seen the game so can't comment on it, but well done your lot, yet again - our Prem worst record must be against Everton, only surprise was it wasn't bloody Cahill scoring the winner with a header again ............. and i remember that 5-1, our only decent performance that season ................... ''you should have gone Christmas robbin''

Jeb,
Although Evans general play is ok, he is not a bad footballer, he just gives silly goals away because he cant do the basics, for example Van Persies goal for Arsenal last week through his legs because he wasnt tight enough then Liverpools winner in the cup, just a long punt up the middle, outjumped by Carrol, Evra in the wrong place and bingo. So yes, when everyone is fit again he can follow Gibson for me.
I see diamond geezer Harry just missed the transfer deadline..... he failed to get more money into his Monaco account in time.

Blue Moan rising (not).
Well done Everton - great performance.
As usual Mancini finds lots of excuses why his team didn't win but offers no recognition to his opponents who simply played better than his team. To say they lost because he underestimated playing away to a team where he has never one is astounding! He's losing it and Sir Alex hasn't even started the mind games yet. Hold on to your hats it's going to be a roller coaster end to the season.

Shampers,
"level at the end of January and the run in should favour City"...... WHAT??? We have ELEVEN first team players injured including now both Goalkeepers, it has been at least as bad on the injury front all season and we are LEVEL!!! with your bottling blues. How far ahead will we be when we get a break on the injury front. Get real mate.

But Dakey, didn't you hear Mancini complaining that they too are understrength through injuries, missing players and suspensions. What can they do about it? Oh wait a minute - don't buy players you know are going to disappear for half the season, don't hack off your best striker and let him holiday on full pay in Argentina for months and stop getting red cards ! Panto season should be over now.
I do agree with Shampers on one thing - the 3 - 0 win over Barcelona was a great night which I also enjoyed.

Kev,
Mancini is losing his Mr Cool persona, He is one moaning box of excuses never giving anyone any credit for anything. Every team has to contend with missing players, thats why you are allowed a squad of 25 players. Citys' absentees amount to a couple of players every now and then for varied reasons. They have been at full strength for practically the full season. We have had at least 10 different players out all season and all 25 have missed games. I know I have mentioned it once or twice, but no one at the club has banged on about it, we have just got on with it and the players standing in have done a great job when asked upon. According to Fergie there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel on the injury front so that bodes well for us from here on in.

Shane,
Interesting one Saha! personally I love the fella, we just couldnt keep him fit. If you manage it he can be a real handfull and a good option to what you have already, either from the start of games or off the bench. Could be a masterstroke by the diamond geezer. I just wonder how he will manage the team remotely from his prison cell. Likeable though he is, if he gets found guilty anyone else trying to fiddle the tax on over £200 grand would go to prison and so should he. In fact, if there was any justice he would be sharing a cell with Balotelli!

I think he is great player although I was surprised we took him. But he has a lethal finish and maybe the Spurs midfield might give him the opportunties to show it.
Yeah don't know what the story is with Harry. But I would wonder what they would have really gained as the amounts were not big for them. Could see him as that old guy "Grout" (I think) out of Porridge or possibly the wheeling dealing Fletcher.

Thank goodness it is now Feb, I was predicting we would drop three points in the next six games and there they have gone - Just have to win the next five now --- Easy!! Hope my predictions are not as bad as the arm chair boy!
Can't say Everton were the better team last night but credit to them they had a good go and scored the goal! Goals win games end of, so for that they deserved to win - thats football
