I have to say first of all, that is the best performance by an away team at O/T that I have seen for a long time...... But, a blatant offside goal was bad enough then a free kick for losing your boot???? leading to the third goal, has anyone ever seen anything like that before because in my entire 55 years I havent! We will have to win 2-0 now away but I wont be losing much sleep if we dont manage it. the league is the be all/end all for us this year and good luck to Bilbao going forward.

I was just thinking, apart from a few notable exceptions, ie the community shield and the FA cup at the Etihad, both against City, our cup form has been in complete contrast to our league form. Why cant we play the bitters every round, then we would be on for another quadruple!

Typical Dakey!!
Start off by rubbishing the opponents, then start on the ref then blame the weather, pitch, banners, cleaners!!
You were outplayed all the game and were fortunate to get a penalty for the so called handball outside the box!!
And finally you do what you do best which is then slag off City who you fear MOST of all!!

Chaddy,
I am flattered, that is a full 3 line response instead of your usual 1 line neanderthall rambling. I must have touched a nerve to entice such a long winded (for you) retort.
Cheers, Dakey

Excellent performance from Bilbao - thoroughly deserved to win. I'm with you Dakey - best performance I've seen from an away team at O/T for a very long time. We'll see what happens next week but, like you, my main concern is to stop another club buying the title rather than building a side to win it.
Once again the contrast between Utd and City's managers is shown up. Fergie accepting that we were beaten by the better side but Manky once again claiming they were the better team and didn't deserve to lose. He's starting to talk as much sense as Chaddy who doesn't even seem to read your e-mails before typing his response (where in your e-mail did you slag off the opposition from last night?). I think there's a few worries over at wastelands - can they take the pressue? Next round on Sunday!

I'm starting to think that maybe the standard in the premier league isn't as good as people think.
Maybe there is depth and the middle/bottom teams are better than in other leagues but it seems to me that the top teams have struggled against european opposition.
One or maybe two teams may have a bad game or result. But we have the top two teams not even getting past the CL group stages and the possibility of the othe other two teams falling at first knockout round.
And look at the defending in the league - its been like an all you can eat buffet in some games. Utd, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea have all been shocking at least once.

Did anyone else see the vast swathes of empty seats at Old Trafford last night ?
Was there a problem on the M1/M25 for all the Utd supporters ?
I also thought the 3rd goal could have been avoided if Raphael had been awake. Was he up to late ?

Back from Lisbon with a sore head (self inflicted) Gutted, had my phone stolen from cafe table. Never seen so many beggers and gypsies and street sellers before.
Into the last third of the season now, will be quite exciting.
Just saw a funny clip of the subs board being dropped on old bacon face's foot whilst he grimaces in pain ha ha.
All the guys in work were telling me how good Bilbao were. Best performace by an away side for ages??? Well since the "sick swann" game anyway.

Dave,
Your mates at work were right Bilbao took game to us and basically took the p--s, off out to Bilbao 06.30 Thursday, looking forward to it to be honest, new ground never been before, still think we can turn it round and get through.
Know what you mean about Lisbon, been a few times to both Benfica and Sporting and been plagued by gypsies (lucky heather sir) beggers and street sellers.
Dont think you will have any problems doing SL at home

Fellas,
I have just watched the Balotelli/Noel Gallagher interview and it was a masterclass of how not to have your kids educated. Have you ever seen two more thick as pig sh.. people try and deliver what when done properly is a bit of an art form. My good lady for a living has people with learning difficulties residing in our home and watching those two was like watching two of our residents at the breakfast bar arguing over the last chocolate biscuit. Stick to strip clubs and singing fellas and leave the rest to the professionals.

It's officially SQUEAKY BUM TIME now for sp*rs!!!
Their best team for 50 years is one point ahead of Arsenal if the gooners can win their game at home against the magpies on Monday night.
That after our worst start ever!!
Sorry Shane mate but I can't help but find that a little amusing.
Cheers
Jay

Jay,
You have certainly got a great chance of overtaking spurs now, but mid table dogfights are not very interesting mate, you just concentrate on sorting out the bitters for having the gaul to tap up your star player and show him where his bread is buttered.

We certainly owe Citeh a doings but it will be for us and us alone. If as a byproduct it helps utd then so be it but all the gooners I know are split in terms of not wanting Citeh to buy the league or the equally unappealing prospect of your mob doing it. Yet again its the sh*t sandwich vs a pint of puke option .....take your pick.
Although they would all feel good for the City fans if they did end up winners because at the end of
the day they're not too blame for their sugar daddy supported team are they??
Incidentally how are the real Utd (FC) getting on nowadays?
The interesting thing this weekend is Wenger has intimated that the way Citeh went about the Nasri Deal was abhorrent and has promised to write about it in a book one day. That's the measure of the class of the man. He won't start shouting his mouth off like some of his contemporarys do whenever they have their slightly reddish nose put out of joint. I've got a sneaky suspicion that The best player in the league is going to be staying at the Arsenal for a good while yet.
Cheers

Jay,
The so called best player in the league has not done you much good these past 7 years has he? Never mind, theres always next season and Utd cant keep being so lucky.... get all the referees decisions...... offside goals..... penalties...... Fergie time...... worst Utd team on record etc etc. Class has got to come through in the end mate, keep telling yourself that it will help you sleep nights.

I sleep fine mate thanks for caring. If RVP had not been so unfortunate getting serious injuries no less than three times on international duty then maybe the story might of been a little different in terms of championships that we have narrowly missed out in the last few seasons. Before anyone says we'd be screwed without him, I agree we most certainly would. It is the most STUPID claim in football when opposing fans say that a team would be nothing without their ace player or players. Would of United have broken their 26 year baron league spell without Cantona?? I think not. If we manage to come 3rd or 4th this year after losing our so called best player to Barcelona and his ready made replacement Nasri who I might add utd were sniffing about like a mangey dog last year too plus having all full backs out for 2/3's of the season not to mention I M O Wilshire the best midfielder in the country not available all year it will in all honesty be the best performance by far of all the teams relatively. So in answer class does always come through Dakey but not always in the obvious ways but in the subtle ways that you might not be able realise or fathom out mate. oh and it's that sort or response that makes people kinda want City to win it........if only for their FANS. Enjoy the football today guys as hopefully I will tomorrow night Jay

Like I said Georgey boy, stupid is as stupid says!! My informers say his going nowhere and lets have it right if any team right now is f**ked it's your bunch of mercenaries. How many managers will you lot have over the next decade that's assuming you're be able to afford em once your Russian criminal finally gives up which just a matter of time. You must all be bricking it because it's you who will be properly screwed when that happens. ;-) Jay
