They say footballers are stupid, Santa Cruzes comment after joining Man City proves it beyond doubt. Him and Gareth Barry, who have both never finished in the top four have joined a squad none of whom can boast a top four finish between them all and his comment was that anything less than a top four finish would be failure! Someone please explain that flawed logic to me. Oh, while we are on the subject of the top four they must be quaking in their boots, Jeb, following Evertons sterling performance against the North Manchester giants Bury FC.
Cheers Dakey

Blackmail for 85K a week gives us the proper hump and the right to poke fun at that absolute @@@@! He can go the way of A.Hole to chelski, the sooner the better.
That blog is one of the best in football even without my RED tinted glasses!
cheers

Three people queue for Newcastle United shirt
Published Date: 24 July 2009
JUST three Newcastle United supporters queued up to get the garish new away kit in the latest snub to their club.
Hundreds of excited fans usually spend hours waiting outside the store to be the first to buy a strip.
But despite the club reducing the price from £40 to £32 a week before it went on sale, supporters stayed away this year.
The scene was in sharp contrast to when local rivals Sunderland launched their away kit at the Stadium of Light earlier this month.
Thousands queued for the shirts while the Premier League stars signed autographs for fans.
Toon supporters are angry over the club's relegation to the Championship, owner Mike Ashley's failure to sell up and the shirt's hated yellow stripe design.
And it is understood thousands of fans have decided not to renew their season tickets.
Stephen Watson, 18, of Gateshead, was first at Newcastle's St James's Park club shop.
He said: "I don't even like the shirt, but I'm a Newcastle fan so I'm still happy to buy it. But I might wear a jumper on top of it.
"I didn't expect it to be this quiet. I thought I would get here early in case there was a big queue – I obviously needn't have worried."
Angela Lawrence, 38, and her son Jack, 10, were the only others in line.
Jack said: "It's my favourite away shirt ever – I'm going to wear it all the time."

Can't see us losing a game or lettin a goal in !!! but i'm sure I always think that every season. Its fun to see old taggart isn't bothered about us but is spending plenty of time tellin everybody that. Can you change so many players and be successful straight away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Course you can. No hiding fror Hughsey though. Am from Scotland and big Rangers fan also. Lookin forward to next week Rangers on Wed away and Celtic sat home. Then over to spain for weekend ( promised max and her mum, but miss start of season). Back home on monday 17th then back to Barcelona on !9th for day city's last friendly. The money you spend for football.
Love some of the banter on here. I always try to guess who actually goes to the games by what is being said. Its usually not too difficult. Please mention in replies whether you actually go to games. It doesn't detract from having great views or comments either way
Hope we get Lescott and Torres as last 2 signings. More pleased Nedum Onuoha has signed 5 year he's gonna be awesome.
Keep the comments comin.
Dave

It has just dawned on me who citydave is, it is my old mate Dave Roy from sunny moston in manchester. Dave I put you on to this forum so you could keep up on the resort news not to peddle your claptrap about city and rangers.
you are getting all excited for nothing and when you fail again with all that money where can you go from there? I will not be around to talk you down from the ledge in Piccadilly any more! you really must find a less stressful hobby.
Cheers, your old mate Dakey
