Kev,
You are being a bit harsh there mate, the bitters have only been the backed by the richest man in the world for 6 years now. They have to build a foundation slowly. Next season they are determined to progress and rather than concentrate on the CL with the inevitable abject failure that brings, they are going to concentrate all their efforts on......actually beating Wigan in a competitive game. Now that is quite enough for them to be thinking about for now!

boring boring chelsea,i dont normally like to come on and gloat like some as i know that retribution usually happens quickly afterwards but i would just like to give jay 6 reaons why chelsea arent boring, eto,o schurlle, hazard, oscar 2 and salah
also i was a bit disappointed not to see the arsenal fans congratualte chelsea and man u for reaching the cl quarters(again) so that arsenals regular 4th place in the pl earns a cl spot due to those 2 clubs with fantastic recent european success ensuring the english coefficient is enough to allw the little clubs a chance of european action on the top table( even though it doesnt usually last long).

George,
I have to agree with every word of your last post, It also looks like a straight fight for 1st and 2nd between Chelsea and Liverpool, with Arsenal and City fighting for scraps to avoid the qualifier.
Just a question, as I am not sure, when UTD win the CL do we have 5 clubs in next year or does the 4th place team miss out?

I have just read on Wikepedia that if a team wins the thing and is outside the domestic top four, then they would qualify at the expense of the 4th place team, unlike the Liverpool situation in 2005 when an extra place was granted. it is a long shot I know, but for us to win it and City to finish fourth would be my absolute dream scenario, so dont worry George, we will turn them over at the theatre this week no problem.

Just been looking at an interesting stat, It is our abysmal home form that leaves us behind everyone else, in a season where we have been branded rubbish and quite correctly so at times, we are actually top of the league on the most difficult criteria of all... away games! Our away league record is the best in the league by some distance, now that is a pleasant surprise and one that I inadvertantly missed.

I am just eating my breakfast and watching Match of the day that I missed last night. City have just come on and I am puzzled. Was there a bomb scare? there is practically no one there! have you EVER seen gaps like that in the crowd of a team going for the title with a few games to go! Expand the Stadium? are they having a laugh it should be reduced by at least 10,000 to fit in with the level of support. It really just shows that they are a owner funded little club punching well above their weight. The fans are doing there level best, but unless some magical potion is invented that allows people to clone themselves then there just is not nearly enough of them to fill a decent sized stadium and no one and nothing will change that simple fact.

Some cracking goals yesterday and we could have goal of the season from this weekends games alone, i think jay should choose the best one and to help him i have picked out any of the chelsea six against l'arse, wooneys beckham esque goal, a kaolo toure wonderstrike and a very special goal from tettley the tea bag at norwich
On another note dakey when you say your away form is better than quite some distance even spurs have only 1 less point than man u away from home but have an extra game to play away but it is nearly a valid and interesting point, but if you arent invincible at home then you wont win jack shit,so beat man city then you can harp on as much as you want, lose and then you should become an ostrich!

I must say Dakey, you're quality in depth is outstanding, the last few days of posting has seen you really step upto the plate in terms of the 2014 'Clutching at Straws' award, i can't see anyone surpassing this level in the next 9 months what you've managed to achieve this week, but i'm intrigued to see if you can improve further - i think you'll have to
George, Champion the Little Horse doesn't have much of a ring to it, doing Arsenal like that but losing to Villa means there's a few more bumps to come, in what is now a 3 horse race.
Jay, for once i'd even trust Dakey's stats on why Arse won't win the title.
As for us then the 3 aways at Arse, Manure and the Bindippers over the next couple of weeks will give us all a real feel for where this is going this season, 2 of em being potential banana skins whilst the game against the scousers will be a tough one

shampers looking at the fixture list then liverpool will decide the title , they play both of us at their place. who gets the most points there will win it out of us 2 but if they take all 6 then its theirs.

"City keeper Hart. Englands number 1, had rarely been tested but he showed good reactions to block a fluke from Danny Welbeck as United searched for a way back into a contest where they had been outplayed for very very long periods."
"United had never looked like claiming anything from this game and the scoreline was given a more realistic appearance in stoppage time when Toure scored his 21st goal of the season with a class finish."
HAHAHAHAHAHA

I am afraid I have to admit that at this precise moment City are slightly better than us! Due to his piss poor tactics and team selections I have renamed The Moyesiah.... he is now the MESS-iah! I have not watched the full game, as soon as I saw the team sheet I left early to catch my plane up to Aberdeen. I just knew what was going to happen. After a couple of games where he introduced a bit of width, pace and guile, Moyes reverted to cautious type and unbelievably left out Januzai and Valencia and Kagawa and put in.... Cleverley!!. He is not a bad player but right now is off form with no confidence and that one selection has made my mind up that Moyes is not the man for us. He reminds me of Dave Sexton who also played a boring type of football and who actaully got sacked after 7 straight 1-0 wins at the end of one particular season with the reason that Utd would not accept winning playing that type of football. Moyes tactics are exactly the same, so he will have to go if he cannot or will not change.
George, City still have to play both the scousers away and Arsenal away and all three will give them a sterner test than we did, so dont lose hope just yet mate.

Quote of the night came from Scholesy ''what a player Rio WAS''
And what about those two cowardly assaults by Fellatio and Wellhard ......... shocking, just what you'd expect from the rag scum, and crowding the ref at every opportunity, good job he favoured the rags or the score would have been far more than 3-0.
Anyway as you say Dakey, even Arsenal will give us a sterner test than your shower last night, although they at least won't resort to the hacking tactics that Dithering Dave's yard dogs tried to employ.
