George,
That is the reason we score so many late goals leading to more trophies than anyone else, he is carrying on from Sir Alex it is not by chance, our coaches get the players physically fit to do battle for a long gruelling season. We dont believe in pampering our players like overpaid prima donnas. Get them sprinting up and down the terrace steps Moysey till their pips squeak!!

George,
I havent checked that little stat yet, but I will and give my own take on it. but even without the benefit of having a look at it yet I will bet my house on you including the Europa 'LOSERS' cup as a major trophy when by all credible criteria it most definately is not.
Cheers, Dakey

George,
I have now checked and in the last 10 completed seasons; 2003/4 to 2012/13 Utd have won 5 league titles, 1 FA cup, 3 league cups, 1 CL, and one World Club cup (a definate winner trophy that no other english club has managed to win) making a total of 11 trophies. Chelsea have won 3 league titles, 4 FA cups, 2 league cups and a CL making a total of 10 trophies. If I was to go soft and let you include the losers cup which is most definately not a winners trophy then you would be on 11 and still only level with us, but I am not going soft so you are on 10
In conclusion George you have done well since you started to spend your unearned russian income but even with all that money and our massive (but falling rapidly) debt, you are still languishing behind us and no attempt to pull the wool over everybodys eyes will change that mate.

Just checking dakey, if uefa have entered the winners of the pl or the winners of the europa league( formerly the uefa cup and cup winners cup combined) to play the cl winners bayern munich. Also thinking a bit further forward dakey it is probably the only eufa competition forward you may be eligible forward after this season as the dinosaur seems unable to attract any big names whilst your top shirt selling player is very keen on taking the number 23 shirt at SB.
When you have that answer then you will know what a major is and the figure of 11 ag 10 still stands as one off competitions dont count as majors anywhere in the world of golf, cricket, tennis or football.
But you have your own numbers for everything dakey so stick your numbers on your bedroom wall dakey and smile yourself to sleep.

George,
There was quite a bit of Gobbledegook in your last offering so for the purpose of clarity I am going to try and impart some of my vast sporting knowledge in your direction to help you out.
Firstly, The main qualification criteria for the Europa cup is to finish one place outside the top four places in the PL. that in the context of a league campaign for a top club is FAILURE. There is also a wild card option where if you fail to finish in the top two in your CL group you get entry into the Europa cup for finishing 3rd out of 4 teams. In the context of a group league table for a top club, again that is FAILURE. That my friend is why it is affectionately known as the LOSERS CUP and can be in no way construed as a major trophy.
Secondly, The long journey to win the World club cup takes over 2 years to complete and is the pinnacle of world club football. Firstly you have to qualify for the CL and in our case it was as Champions. Then the following year you have to win the CL. At that point you are either pitted against the Champions of the other great football continent, South America or sometimes FIFA choose to include the Champions of all the football federations to determine an outright World club champion for that year and the criteria all the way through is WIN to progress.
As I have said before, we have won it twice in both its forms and no other British club has managed that despite numerous attempts. The latest attempt by your beloved Chelsea predictably ended in failure and resulted in most of your players openly weeping in public on the field of play after the game. Could it be that they were gutted to come so close to ultimate proffesional achievement and that was the reason for being so upset......or could it be that they had missed out on a big win bonus!

Fellas,
You forget that we have already signed the hottest young prospect last year for this year, beating you all to the punch with Zaha. I am sure that we will have another couple of quality signings in the bag come the start of competition on the 11th August...... Whoops sorry, that is just us and Wigan that day isnt it, the two main trophy winners from last year.
What you all seem to forget is that you all have to sign 5 or 6 top players just to get near the level we are already at, we would win it again with just what we have already although I admit it may be a bit closer this year.

So, Barcas new manager (has anyone heard of him by the way?) says that Fabregas is not for sale. Why dont we make a bid of £40million +another Quid to make it look like we are in the market for big players, when really we are not!

United have spent the summer stumbling around the transfer market like a drunk and creepy uncle at a wedding; clumsily making unwelcome passes at anyone vaguely attractive, whilst groping repeatedly and embarrassingly at the plus-ones of others.
Whether it’s intentional or not the club have become a bit of a circus, and not in a good way. The kind where everyone looks like an incompetent clown and the wheels come off at the end.
What is less becoming is the very public pursuit of Cesc Fabregas. The player himself has wisely kept his council; Barcelona have consistently claimed he’s not for sale (as they would); but United have conducted a cringeworthy negotiation-by-media like some attention-seeking Big Brother contestant eager to stretch out their fifteen minutes of fame.
Perhaps the most laughable story to come out of Old Trafford was Woodward dramatically jumping on a plane from Australia to deal with urgent business at the club. A few weeks on he still seems hopelessly unable to land.

Could be worse Chaddy,
We could spend £100 million on 4 absolute nobodies! like someone not a million miles away. Oh and appoint an absolute nobody of a manager. What you forget mate and something that the Moysiah refers to is that he has inherited a runaway championship winning squad so we can be fussy about who and how we add to it. unlike the opposition who simply have to recruit new faces just to try and play catch up. It will all sort itself out along familier lines in the not too distant future dont you worry about that my friend.

No Chaddy,
we are completely different people with similar views. I can understand your frustration when you take on the role of the ball in a game of intellectual tennis between Kev and me, but take heart my friend, despite your dodgy signings I still think you will scramble a top 4 place this year and dare I say it, you may even sneak out of the CL group stages in the right direction this year.
