Bloody Hell,
Now Fletcher is out for a prolonged spell on the sidelines, When is the injury tide going to turn in our favour? its an absolute miracle that we have managed to stay in contention. heres hoping that a few of them start to trickle back into the squad or we could be struggling with the glut of fixtures over the next two months. In the meantime....... come on you Gooners!!!!

I'm absolutely gutted for your injury epidemic mate. Am I right in remembering you were full strength against us in the sick swann game. Even jeb's boy wonder jonny Evans played some of it????

Dave,
I seem to remember we were at full strength in the 5-1 defeat all those years ago and that proved to be a worthless victory as well. The fact is that at present we still have NINE players out injured from a squad that has seen every player miss games with injury so far and this weekend we will have a chance, yes only a chance not a certainty, to go above your billion pound expensively assembled ensemble. We have lost only one league game the same as you, with that massive handicap. Now it doesnt matter who you support that deserves credit and respect, but I wont hold my breath waitng for it to arrive.

Dakey My heart bleeds for ya too mate! The gooners have got 4 first team full backs plus the best midfield player in the country all out. The ever absent Diaby is also missing as usual so when looking at the season overall combined with the head start we've given everybody I think it's Arsenal that are most worthy of credit. Another interesting stat is that this is sp*rs best start to a season in 27 years and Arsenals worst start to a season in 52 years and points total difference is.......?? A whole 2 points ... Beautiful LMAO Jay

Very intresting indeed the chelski beating city starts thw twist and maybe just maybe Dakey is smiling with the gap down to 2 with Utd having a very easy run of games coming up.
It wil be nice on Sunday with all of London Supporting us. Thats Spurs, Chelski, Arsenal and of course the biggest supported team in London Utd fans. If we can even nick a point then it will def through the table wide open as City cannot afford to drop many point over the next 6 games and dropping points against us will mean a mini crisis.
Jay your right we have suffered more injuries than the rest put together and after our terrible start am chuffed to bits at our present poistion and still have hopes of a greats season.
Dave City now need to dig in or all the records will mean nothing by the end of Jan.
Spurs now you are on a 1 game losing streak I am a little happier
As I said intresting intresting intresting and each week seams to bring another twist.

Jay,
All that shows is Spurs are on the way up and Arsenal on the way down!!
Worst Arsenal team for 52 years...some achievement.
And on injuries...every team has its injuries but people seem to forget the ones in the oppositions teams.

Shane Thought that might get a response mate. I said "start" not "team" and the old tortoise and the hare comes to mind. Arsenal unfortunately done all their transfer business virtually on deadline day so we effectively did not have the players for the Utd game and no pre season to bed the new boys in. We're a different prospect now and all the teams in the top 6 will not look forward to playing us right now. Jay

Jay,
Now Arsenal is tortoise like? Haha.
Fair argument about the transfers and I know Spurs had similar issues not getting parker in and modric left out due to the transfer saga.
Think both of our teams have issues at the back!! But thats not new for Spurs. We are just patching up our defence each year...likes of Gallas providing cover for the one-legged King (still class on one though) after trying Woodgate for a couple of seasons. And now Brad in goal...again great player but only short term.
I will be very interested in what happens in the transfer market with the top teams. City will probably buy 5 players and bring in a rotation policy for their bench! Utd, Spurs, Arsenal, and Chelsea all need either positions covered or new blood.
I hope Harry keeps hold of young players...like Sandro for example.

Neil,
You said,
' We have had more injuries than the rest put together' what planet are you on? what part of 'all of our 25 man squad have missed games with injuries including many long term ones' do you not understand? At least half of your squad have been fit all the way through. If you are going to comment mate keep it just a little bit factual.
Cheers, Dakey

lets not sqabble about whos worst on the injuries it proabley because our squad is weaker I see the injuries as worse as we dont quite have some of the quality cover ur lot do but I will concede that Utd have suffered and the likes of Spurs and City seem to have got away so far I think that this is the major reason for their sucess.
Shane
Spurs have started well and now all of a sudden you are the class team in London. Been their read the book got the T-shirt and heard it all B4. U qualified for the CL and we all had to listen about how good you were and how you were gonna challenge for top Dogs. Whoops failed again the following year. As a Spurs fan you must be fed up with false dawns and lack on consistancy in the league it takes more than one season to start calling yourself a top team.
I think all the others would agree that their teams have earnt the right to be considered the cream of the prem over years of consistancy, even City know that the cup last year must be followed up with improvements each year.
Spurs on the way up!!!!!! another one step up followed by 2 down and never making the top of the ladder but you must be used to that.
quoting Keegan ''If we beat them this week end I will Love it'' (really will take a point now)

Neil,
You talk about seasons, one up, next down....I'm used to halves in the same game doing that. Spurs have been inconsistent, sometimes terrible, but rarely boring.
It will be a hard ask for us to stay in the top 4...Citys bench probably gets paid more than our squad. Chelsea are overflowing in roubles and the other teams have 10+ years of raking in the dosh from the CL.
But we are playing great footy and if Adebayor is still with us and really finds form I think we have a chance as our midfield will give him plenty of opportunties. The big difference from a couple of years back is we have goal scorers behind the front men/man.
Quietly confident of ruining someones season!!

Fellas,
After going out of Europe altogether, that is 9 possible thursday games that Spurs dont have to factor in. At the end of the season they might just look back and say it was the best thing that could have happened to them. Although on the other hand, will a team that cant get to the knockout stages of the Europa league really be a threat to the top teams? It depends on which standpoint you are coming from.
Nice to see the team spirit at the Etihad is as good as ever going in to the big game against the gunners. What with players looking like they have been shot when they score as opposed to celebrating and then fighting all over the training ground, it must be a real pleasure to be involved at that club, never mind, they can always lock themselves away and count their money.
Cheers, Dakey

Dakey,
Spurs going out of europa could be a good thing but it was giving crucial gametime to the squad.
And you're right the team we played in the Europa league wouldn't be a threat to the top teams in the league.
But the starting team is a threat...not to win the league...but to hand a couple of the top teams a year without CL.
Man Utd won't have too much fixture congestion either if they lose to City in the FA cup...possibly a good thing as I'd imagine it will be fringe players in the Europa.

Shane,
Cant contemplate losing to City again for a while, to quote their favourite saying, it only happens once in a blue moon and they have had their fluke result for the next couple of years.

GED, what kind of sod's law is that mate? You get the chance of doing some of the lesser grounds and then draw ajax. You couldn't write it. I think it might be fun at ringway with us going to Porto and you off to Amsterdam. You can buy me a drink in the bar mate. Not sure how they'll approach this one.

Dave,
Let me help you with your uncertainty regarding how you will approach the Europa League. You will be at full strength and giving it everything you have........ as by February you will not have the distraction of anything else to worry about! Hope that helps.

Fellas,
Bit quiet isnt it, that is probably because all the teams with no chance of winning it are playing today. I expect it will get a bit more lively tomorrow evening.

Quiet day but whats this about Man U trying to sneak back into the CL...
Always find it ironic when FIFA/UEFA punish leagues/countries for not following their rules...apparantley this time outraged that the Swiss team decided to use the courts against them. Because of course they should be the highest authority as they are of course uncorruptable!!
