Rooney scored a perfectly good goal and had it chalked off. That is us getting the thin end of the wedge from the officials instead of like Arsenal and Liverpool who have actually been gifted wins already. The 0 in jugger0 is for yet another clean sheet and it is that solidity at the back that will see us maintain a challenge all season.

He is decent for a reserve player which he has been for quite a while now. Scoring a deflection against eveyones whipping boys West Brom is hardly a test is it.
We are looking as strong as anyone mainly due to our solid defence so far, but on early indications and I choke saying it, City look a class above all of us at the minute.

Utd ain't played anyone of note yet so haven't had the defence tested Dakey. You have had a really easy start. We have totally messed up the first day and had a very tough test at the palace but tonight is our seasons start in earnest.

You lost to the hammers and were gifted the points against palace, tonight is your first game against one of the top seven big clubs so good luck with that.
We have played one of the top seven big clubs already Spurs and have not conceded a goal yet, promising start but nothing else. I have looked at our next 7 or 8 fixtures and we have some really tough fixtures in there against the top clubs City, Arsenal and Liverpool, but also against clubs like Swansea, Everton and Palace away. If we are in touch after that little lot we will have a chance.

Have you noticed that Utd are the only club with the audacity to approach Barca, Bayern and Real Madrid about signing their mega players ie Ronaldo, Bale, Muller and Neymar etc while the rest of you just sign their reserves ie Pedro, Sanchez etc. Even the eventual successes like Aguero, Silva and Costa were just punts on players from smaller Spanish clubs that the Spanish big two didnt want.......Just saying

That is exactley the same as Trevor Frances saying that he wouldn't sign Eric Cantona until he had seen him play on grass, the rest is history, you just think of Pedro as a reserve player when Chelsea pick up the Premiership trophy, that is of course if Man City don't beat them to it.

There is nothing more certain mate, Chelsea will be picking up the PL trophy.....To load it on transport up to Manchester where it belongs. Whether it is Utd or City is yet to be decided.
Jay, When does your season start? next game or the one after or the one after that........

What an excellent game that me and mine witnessed at the grove last night.
slightly under par performances from some and arsene seems to be accommodating Ramsey in there on the right when clearly it' should be the ox or even theo.
monreal and the le coq outstanding as was cech.
liverpool unlucky but we had a perfectly legal and good goal ruled out so things do even themselves out as I said previously.
cant complain but still want two new signings please arsene. A DM and more firepower in a striker please

Not nessessarily true Hep, the 2 titles we have won in the last 5 years (same as City and more than Chelsea) were achieved when, as you say, both clubs 'owners' have more money than Utd (not the actual clubs). Money doesnt always buy trophies although it does help.

A bit of useless info for you, L v G is the only Man Utd manager born out of the British Isles (including The Republic of Ireland).
The only thing that SWFC currently has in common with Man Utd, Carlos Carvalhal is our only foreign manager.

Neymar will sign a new contract at Barcelona, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
Manchester United are reported to have made discreet enquiries about taking the Brazilian to Old Trafford but Balague rubbished rumours, claiming the 23-year-old will pen a new deal at the Nou Camp instead.
"Neymar: contract renewal prepared. FCB wants 2 announce it soon.Doesn't stop other teams being interested but is naive 2 think he wants 2 go," he said on Twitter.
So dakey you are naive if you think neymar is coming to man u. As all the top pundits on sky are saying all the top players will only go to teams that wins majors- chelsea and man city. So the big transfers are pedro and stones to chelsea and de gea leaving the sinking ship.
