Before the festive games I'd like to take the opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas (even the Chadster). The banter has been good this year and may it continue into the New Year. It will be hard for a few of you because we'll probably be 9 or 10 points clear at the top come early Jan. No doubt the Bitters will be dusting their cheque book down ready for the transfer window!

Middleton used to be a nice place until the Inner City Toerags invaded in the 1950s with Dakey Lad leading the charge!!
The Langley estate is an overspill housing development that was created in the 1950s for Manchester City Council. Families moved in to the new housing from the Slum Clearance areas of Manchester, which bit did you crawl out of Dakey and Kev???

Friday night out for us Moston lads back in the day meant a crawl around the Oldham and Chadderton public houses to laugh at the dress sense of the 'local indigenous' people and, I am reliably formed that is still as popular today with true mancunians as it was then.
Just for your info, I lived on a council estate for nearly 30 years in moston which was 'slum clearance' as you put it from ancoats and miles platting and I was proud of every second that I lived there. Now I live in a part of middleton close to the Chadderton border so each night looking over the boundary is like watching 'sean of the dead' as I watch Chaddertonians go about their business

Top on Xmas day by 4 points...... but that is not a true reflection of things, you see Utd have played two home games less than both City and Chelsea and that will be rectified in the next two games so the gap after Utds two home games and Citys and Chelseas two away games will be a truer reflection..... But no, as we have beaten both on THEIR OWN grounds so it is still not a true picture. Either way and however you look at it, we are miles ahead!!!
I have to agree with Chaddy by the way, We have been scoring late goals for years and were called jammy B..........! for it. Now the bitters are doing it, it means they are a great team! Rose tinted and glasses come to mind.
To finish, I dont think Barrys' header was a foul, Shorey just did not jump end of!

You are correct, there is no malice intended, it is just plain old banter. My local is split between red and blue and the banter that goes on in there in drink makes our little spats seem mild in comparison. All the very best to you and yours and look forward to many more disageements in the future.
