you're right Jaydee and it's only a matter of time before there is a European super league and the clubs with the megabucks play 'B' sides in their domestic competitions. Maybe that will give the rest a bit of a chance by levelling the playing field a bit but ultimately most clubs will remain rooted to the communities and cities they are based in. The Manu's etc will plough their own furrough based on those that can spend the most win the most !

Jeb,great idea.
Geoff and I and a few others are over early September.I think the league would have started by then so hopefully will take a match in then.
Nearer the time might start a thread and see if anyone else is interested.

the reason i said the best team in the world was! i have watched both teams albeit on the tv, and in my opinion man u are the best, i do however think that the spanish league is creeping up and will be the best next year? the champions league? man u didnt turn up! ronaldo didnt play? just one of those nights? anyway your a scot so what do you know about football?

Ant and Andi have it spot on, not because of opinion because we all have opinions, Man U are the best team in the world because they first won the Champions league to qualify then won the world club cup against the champions of the other five federations. Barcelona, great team that they are, are only half way through the process and until they compete in and win the world club cup next year then any talk of them being the best team in the world is based solely on a one off cup game against Utd and some peoples opinion. When or if they close out the deal next year I will tip my hat to them then, because they will have earned it. Not before.

Phil, nice try but it won't last. I put a thread on for football comments ages ago, and it's now disappeared off the face of the forum. Hopefully by the time this does the same, the season will be over, or is it already?

"Man U best team in the world" Weeeeeeellllll Beaten by Barca in the champions league final. Oh yeah, and beaten TWICE by liverpool, once without Stevie G and Torres starting. In the other game Torres was being closely monitored for his fitness level. He weighed 12 stone at the start of the game, but 25 stone after the game? Everybody was puzzled........... then they realised he still had Vidic in his pocket.
We may have finished second, booted out of the FA cup. Beaten semi-finalists in Champions league. But the look on all my Man U friends after that game........ priceless.
Can't change the past, and with our financial restraints not looking too good for next season either. But a friend of mine came home with an LFC tattoo on his arm. His wife said "Great, so you got no tattoos with my name on then. He said no, because I know that the day I die I will always have loved and still be in love with Liverpool.
As someone else said, you will always support your team no matter what.
Regards to supporting Murcia...... count me in.

I was out walking this morning and I came across 3 trees in the park. To my amazement on one tree there was a season ticket for Liverpool FC nailed to the tree, on the second tree, a season ticket for Newcastle FC and nailed to the third tree one for Everton FC. I thought, brilliant I am having all of them, I mean you cannot have too many nails can you!
