Chaddy,
A lot of decent points mate, other than I have not threw in the towel, we will bounce back, it just may take a tad longer. Freak result? you have had a boat load of freak results then already, you are as bad as us nearly, so we had both better get our fingers out before it is too late.

Chaddy,
Moyesy has been busting a gut for 11 years to get Everton above Utd in the league....... 6 games at Utd and he has finally succeeded!
Its a funny game football, this is our worst league start in 24 years. If we win in the CL (yes I know on current form a big if) it will equal our best start in Cup comps 4 games, 4 wins, 3 different comps. Instead of romping it like last year we may have to settle for just winning the league by a point and add a cup or two while moysey gets adjusted.
There, I told you it wouldnt take long to get my mojo back.

Boys bin busy away in almeria nice to be back to catch up. Never heard we will be top by 15 games Dakey eat so much humble I think it is sinking in slowly no hope no chance utd. I do think they could be in the the four by 15 games....bottom 4. Chaddy stop gloating your lots were as bad you got some problems their 2. Maybe Manchester had their day and London taking over. Long injury list and still top promising need to maintain position until Jan and bolster squad then still feel we are a little light. Still banter been good in the pub nice to dish it for a change. Spurs worrying me but not as much a Dakey, clutching at straws is an understatement it's panic and at his theatre all they are showing nowadays are tragedies and horror shows. Moyes may just break one record .... Biggest pay off to a manager in history.. 6 year contract happy days Roll on champ league Neil

Neil,
Me, eat humble pie? Never!! I have every confidence we will turn it around and be there or thereabouts at the end, I am actually taking great pleasure this season seeing the mighty bitters struggle like hell with their inexperienced players and manager not coming to grips with the rigours of the PL. Also the special one must be cringing every time he watches Everton and the big fella he has shifted on loan. The boy looks a monster and that is a 24 carat dropped bollock if ever there was one. As for Moyesy, he is taking stick but he has balls. Sir Alex told him to keep the backroom staff to help him settle and he totally ignored him and binned the lot. Now you might say that was stupid and you may be correct but it also shows that he is not afraid to make the big calls and that is what is needed going forward, so no panic from me just toal backing for the manager.
Finally, You and Jay have had your moments of despair these last 9 years or so and now your team looks at least equal and probably better than anything else in the league at the minute so who am I to deny you the obvious pleasure you must be feeling right now. I am genuinely pleased for you both and hope that we can get our own shit together to give you a run for your money.

I thank you for your sincere comments and you are right we have spent a few years underpar and bad starts ruin our chance year in year out so the good start makes us feel at least for now we have a chance and are not playing catch up all year.
As much as you may hope hope you improve I dont one less team to worry about this year.... the longer the rest show such inconsistancy the better.

Calm down, calm down everybody. Lets see how the land lies by Christmas. Very interesting isn't it. Wonder how much it will cost to make Lukaku permanent (if Chelski would even consider it).

Now that was very very impressive. Opening 35 mins was dream football taking me back to a few years ago. Then a mature controlling display that gets me thinking this side has really got potential. Flamini is a dog of war and might be the best the signing of the season. Our midfield was full of flair and hard as nails and that my friends is combination that us gooners really really like!!! Jay ;)

Fabulous display by the gunners and a world class contribution by Ozil, who looks a real player on the early evidence. I was also impressed with Chelseas performance and also Evertons unbeaten start to the season and that throws up an interesting conundrum around the self professed 'Special one'. I make no apology for refering to Ozil as a Real Madrid reserve in earlier posts as that is what he had become under Jose. His subsequent form at the gunners clearly shows the folly of that decision. Chelseas recent good form can be put down to the reinstatement of their player of the year Mata after being left out and criticised earlier on in the season, but those two gaffes pale into insignificance every time I watch Lukaku play for Everton. To loan that lad out and keep Torres and Ba, then buy the ineffectual Eto realy proves that the 'Special one' is really nothing of the sort and in the early season clamour to crucify the Moyesiah his monumental mistakes have just slid quietly under the radar.... but not my radar!
These pre Xmas CL group games are all about getting out of the groups and positioning yourself for the knock out phase come february/march when everything may well look a bit different to how it looks today. to that end we have to dig deep tonight and produce a performance in a difficult away game and the bitters must step up to the plate and also get something as that win last week against the groups whipping boys means nothing as they will drop 6 points to every other team in the group and Citys task will be to qualify in 2nd behind the germans and that is not a gimmee based on early season form so far.

Have to agree. Excellent performances from Arsenal and Chelsea last night. Enjoy it while it's good Jay, Neil and George! Time for City and United to step up to the plate - they're going to have to at some point!

Well that was a right old battle and happy with a point in the end. Top after 2 tough games so cannot complain. Same cannot be said of the hapless bitters, a little excursion into the Europa league beckons I would think on that showing and the ground emptied quicker than the Emirates on a bad day. ( not that you are having many of those lately, Jay & Neil).

A good solid European performance and a point away in Eastern Europe. Could have won but a draw was probably a fair result. As for City LMFAO as Chavvy would say. How many millions did they pay for that lot? When I commented on Hart's form a while ago I got shouted down by a couple of fools on here that know less than they think about the game. Hodgson may have sold us down the river by not developing any experienced back up. Biggest laugh - apparently the official Man City feed on the game said they created enough chances in the last few minutes that on another day they might have nicked it! Obviously Chavvy isn't alone with his blue specs, though he would have been if he'd been sat in the stands at the Emptihad towards the end. I thought Moyes was meant to be the novice at European management! What an expensive joke they are!

I know it is only the Europa league, but I thought there were some very entertaining games tonight with some nice football on view but not yet too competitive...... I suppose that will come in the later rounds when City and Chelsea join in!
