Jay,
I have another answer to your comment 'worst ever start by the champions'
Community shield.... won at a cantor
Swansea away, very difficult away game....won at a cantor
Chelsea home, very very difficult game.... draw.
Liverpool away, probably our most difficult game of the season historically.... lost a tight game that we could have won.
Hardly a cause for concern eh?
I see Bale will be making his debut against a team that has already humiliated you this year... Villarreal.... oh sorry it was Villa are real that mugged you off.

Well well well what a shambolic transfer window this has been for The Vermin!! The Dinosaur has floundered from 1 half baked fumble in the dark to another and ended up with Sideshow Bob's half witted twin brother for over 27 MILLION Now I'm sorry Kev (fido) and Daykey Lady but deep down in your wooden hearts even you 2 must be left shaking your heads and reeling over the crass incompetence The Dinosaur has shown who is quite clearly WAY OUT OF HIS DEPTH! ! Old Bacon Face will be turning in his grave watching that comical masterpiece of how not to deal with big boys. I am sure Brian Rix will also be chuckling to himself asking why The Dinosaur wasn't around in his day script writing Good luck with your plan F of signings.

I really have got in to you haven't I !!!!!
I never mentioned curtain raiser friendlies. The league started on 17th of August mate and that's all we're bothered with. Now face facts this has got to be the worst start to a campaign by the current champions known to mankind. It don't matter who you've played the points tell the story loud and clear.
As for Ozil you lot tried and failed to sign him before he went to Spain ......or have you conveniently forgotten that using your very selective memory???? Nothing like a utd fan scorned eh mate?
Pelligreedy and Jose were abject failures in Spain and there departures from Madrid were celebrated. Maybe if they had made better use of the talent that is abundant in Ozil things would of been different for them.
As for utd and Moyes performance this summer it has to be nothing short of pathetic. To lose sir red choppers and David Gill in one summer is gonna cost you bad and that is already evident in both performances in the window and on the pitch.
I'm going to stop poking you now cause your boring me. Let the football do the talking for once Dakey.
ps nice photo of gary and phil.

Jay,
I am going to stop tit for tatting too for a while as I will have plenty to say once (not if) we hit the top and it all goes pear shaped for the rest as per.
on the subject of the Neville brothers looks, Ozil will defo give them a run for their money. Do you remember the original Arnie 'total recall' film? In the final scene on Mars when the bloke was sucked out of the broken window onto the surface and his eyes were popping out of his head before it exploded.... That is what he looks like, Scary!

Morning Gents
Hope your all well, not been on for a bit but nice to see the usual banter continues.
Strange start to season for us, didnt think we would get anything at Swansea so a bit surprised to be honest with 4 goals, Chelsea game was another surprise as didnt think Jose would shut up shop so soon in season but a draw about best result in the circumstances however so dissapointed with our trip to the dippers on Sunday, just a bad day all round, nothing worse thatn leaving Anfield road end after being beaten.
Looking forward to Europe with a new ground to go to in Real.
Not impressed with transfer situation, the hair bear bunch would be more at home in the Wonderland Zoo than OT, just dont think he is the man for us, Moyes must see something I dont anyway. Please Rooney staying as never wanted him to go.
International break come at right time for us so we can regroup and hopefully give Palace a lesson next game then its Citeh away which will go a long way to seeing how we will fair this season, I think Citeh have strongest squad so it will be a good measure of where we are at.
Cheers
Ged

Utd have said we didnt match the buy out clause for herrera, we bid what we thought he is worth and they held out for the buy out amount. So no deal. It will be interesting who actually was there negotiating, I thought Jeremy Beadle had popped his cloggs. One point that did come out is that Herrera offered to take a pay cut to come to O/T, funny that eh? no one is supposed to want to come listening to you fellas. Maybe one for the next window then to help us consolidate what will be a healthy lead by then.

Chaddy,
We could have done our business early, spent 90 odd million on players that no one has heard of, took the time to integrate them in the team, had the benefit of the easiest start ever handed to a contender and then get beaten by a team for their first top flight win in 50 years. That sounds quite funny to me mate. In fact by far the funniest thing that has happened so far.
However its come about, we have retained ALL the players that won the league by 11 points and added a top rate player to it and are scouring europe for the best young players for the future. At 17 this young man will learn his trade with the youth team and hopefully realise his potential. In fact, come to think of it adding one quality player each year and signing good young players with potential has been Fergies blueprint for success for 25 years. Spending 100 million each year of unearned income on little known players whilst changing your manager on a regular basis and playing to half empty stadiums is most certainly not a blueprint for anything and certainly not success.

You are right Jay,
It is very funny, but there have been other funny moments. The 3 stooges pretending to represent Utd in Spain is another one, Wenger trying to appear that he knows what he is doing in the upper end of the transfer market and ending up paying 43 million quid for a discarded reserve is another. Another funny thing is the assumption by ABUs that no one wants to join Utd when the reality is that both Herrera and we hear now Fellaini both were willing to lose up to 4 milllion quid each to come to Utd, indeed Fellaini has actually lost that amount by asking for a transfer on Sunday to make the move happen. Now that is the character of player we look for and why we take so long to complete the signings. It is very easy to offer to double players wages and pay twice their market value when you are trading with unearned income, but that is ultimately the path to hell and damnation!

Thats the sort of player you want in Sideshow Bobs tarded brother is it? A player who renages on his contract? a player who is disloyal to his club? a player who BADLY needs his barnet cutting? LOL

Chaddy,
I agree on one thing, a trim has to be part of the deal, he looks ridiculous.
On the subject of transfers, I see the bitters are paying half of Gareth Barrys wages to play for Everton. Not a lot changed there then on that club policy. The thing that might yet bite you on the bum is Peligreedy, with no PL experience, brings in several players with no PL experience then Farms out his one player with VAST PL experience. Is our league that poor that a massive gamble can be taken like that assuming that the manager and new players will simply just slot in? The Cardiff result would suggest otherwise, we shall see.
