Hilarious stuff again tonight. What an entertaining season!
Shampers - you're right that the wheels are coming off but they're not coming off Utd's Mercedes they're coming off Shity's 3 wheeler!
Not lost a game in a year and now two on the bounce to your big rivals, out of one competition and probably on your way out of another. Only Dalglish's crazy tactical brain might let you back in. What was that about - the way the game went the tie could have been killed off tonight.
Great comments on the crowd:
Before the game - Lineker "Let's be quiet while we listen to the fans welcome the teams with Blue Moon" - followed by embarrassed silence!
Half Time - Shearer "I can't understand it. A semi final and there are 5 - 6000 empty seats, the fans aren't getting behind the team and the team aren't giving them anything to get excied about". Perhaps winning one FA Cup in 40 years makes you complacent! Any idea where all the City fans were?

Oh - and well done Spurs. You must be getting worried Jay lad!

Spurs for the league??
Who would ever have thought commentators would be asking the pundits that question in January.
I know Jay/Neil you must be shaking your heads at the scores every weekend wondering when Spurs will start their usual bad run. And you're not alone!!
But for now I'm happy watching a team play arguably the best football in the league...

Well fellas,
Great first half by Liverpool last night, It seems everyone is queuing up to slap the bitters now they have imploded, but the highlight of last night for me was in the 2nd minute of injury time and I think it was Barry who hit a cross field pass directly into touch. Mark Lawrenson commented " that pass was a stadium emptier"! Barry must have hit the same pass in the warm up then as it looked pretty empty to me all the way through apart from the packed Liverpool end. What an embarrasing little club City and their few supporters really are.

Ahhh, it's those passes that empty The Swamp after 75mins every other week, I'd always thought it was to get away early to get back to the airports and the M6 south for the long journey home ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

It was confusing - I thought the City fans must have dumped their blue moon where the sun don't shine and adopted "You'll never walk alone" as their song. Then realised it was the Liverpool fans who'd bothered to turn up. Best City performance was the panto in the tunnel afterwards!

Its bad enough having to listen to people who really should know better tipping the bitters to win the title, but lately we have also had to put up with listening to how that likeable eternal loser "Diamond Geezer, Harry" is going to sweep Spurs to the title and then how a player who was past it and shipped out 5 years ago is going to resurect the Gunners season on the basis of one goal against Leeds of all teams!
After this weekends contributions its nice to see something like normal service has returned to North London!

We havent got midfield problems our players are more than good enough, we have midfield and defensive INJURY problems, that we are coping quite well with thank you. The difference between Henry and Scholes coming back is quite simple for anyone who knows football. Henrys' game was based on electrifying pace and dynamic goals stemming from that pace. Usually players like that are past their best at early thirties as that pace goes and that is what happened to Henry. Scholes, on the other hand has always been slow and that type of player can still be effective approaching 40 as Sheringham showed as they very rarely sprint for anything and concentrate on being available to receive the ball then use their skill to influence the game. Playing like that Scholes could quite easily play on for a couple more years no problem. For us it is like signing a 30 million pound player without the need to integrate him into the way the team plays and he could just turn out to be the difference in the run in. There mate I hope I have helped to educate you a little bit about footballers and how the game is played. No need to thank me mate, all part of the service.

First to congrats Swansea on proving how bad our defense is again we deserve all we get.
It was nice to see some taking points from the yida then to lose was a bitter blow.
I knew Dakey would have a reason for Henry being a mistake and Scholes being a great move what a surprise!!!!!!!
So Henry was all about pace was it? what about timing reading the game, first touch, confidence infront of goal, sight, releasing others, making runs, pull defenders out, and all you thought Henry had to be classed as one of the best strikers in the world was pace you said you knew about football wake up!!!!
You have bought strikers with no pace OWEN, sherigham etc well well well before you preach get some facts straight and if you think Henry was only pace you have less knowledge than I thought.
So Dakey if you thought that Henry was just based on pace to be a world class player I hope I have educated you in the other skills and attributes he has and all quality players need. No need to thank me if you require any other football insight outside of Man U then ask as you only every see the world through you RED galsses again I thought you had improved.

Yes was quite happy when Liverpool again failed to score at home and drew another one. And then the icing on the cake was a Swansea win.
OK we lost ground (or will) on the top 2 but the real fight is 3rd and 4th. Anytime you drop points and only 1 team in the mix makes a gain you have to be happy.
Roll on Sunday...will be a couple of interesting games.
Maybe Scholes and Henry can mark each other so no one notices their lack of pace!!

You can be very touchy cant you? I never said Henry didnt have other skills and abilities, but his electrifying pace enhanced those skills and when he lost that pace he lost a lot from his game. Dont forget mate when he left you were already a couple of years into your barren run so the magic had faded already.
Shane, We bought Carrick from you for 19 million quid and although he is not everyones cup of tea he will do for me. Him and Scholes have been our main midfielders for the five years when we have won four titles and a close runner up, so those players doing that for any other club would be in the 30 million pound bracket on achievment alone and no amount of paranoid ABU comments will change the facts.

.... don't forget Henry's incredible ability with his hands too (seldom seen from outfield players). He made millions for the French national team at the cost of the Irish from them.
Halfway through the Shity game and their twelth man Atkinson is playing a blinder. Demonstrating his ability to give decisions against Utd even when we're not in the game. I think he's biased but am not sure 'cos they're all rubbish and inconsistent!!!

...well done City. Hung on for a 1-0 against the might of Wigan. Didn't go so well second half though when your best players (Atkinson) performance dipped.
Bloody disgraceful behaviour from bleating Mancini again though. The FA should be taking action.

You are making us sound a bit like the bitters mate, Any away win, in fact any win in the Premiership is mainly hard fought these days and we have won several titles grinding out the wins when the football has temporarily dried up. So while it is disappointing that Wigan never managed to scramble a draw and the fact that the free kick that led to the goal was never a free kick, we just have to move on to the next games and congratulate the bitters for negotiating a tricky hurdle. That win could well secure them runners up spot and keep Spurs at bay in the overall picture!
