There so sour I'll never get the taste out my mouth.
It aint personal mate but I want a league that's fair for all on operating costs and profits but i'll take nothing away from the actual achievement and style football played you won it hands down and the record against the top four was outstanding. How would you do if your budget was based in the real world like the majority (not including City; sorry dave) of clubs in our wonderful league??

You've all seen my why oh why post on football.........
Well done Chelski
Well done Spuds
Very well done Fulham ............... Billionaires from the Middle East mean nothing
Something needs to be done about levelling the playing field, but unfortunately we know communism doesn't work !
American Football rules on players/money maybe would, but then that's only in 1 country.............. or
Salary caps a la Rugby League - but that's a minority sport.................
Limited to 4 foreigners (only 2 can play) a la cricket, but that works as cricket not really affected by EU regs on foreigners like football is
Back to the drawing board............... and if nothing is solved then my own club will eventually just win everything as they've got limitless funds, how boring................ good thing is that the Stone Roses will have to reform ..... if you don't get that than PM me

Well Done BLACKPOOL on a well deserved promotion to the Premiership
Although I am a Liverpool supporter I have a little bit in my heart for the Tangerines as my dad who was from Blackpool and he used to take me every week (ok very other!) when I was a kid
To all you Mancs and Chelski supporters - don't underestimate the power of the tangerines

Ian Holloway is great - am delighted for him, what he stands for and what he's achieved at Blackpool.
They'll come straight back down but if they're sensible they'll set the club up for a good few years with the money they'll make.
Remember going there with City in divvy 3, and all the City players stopping as a ball got hit towards the touchline looking like it would comfortably go out of play, until the Blackpool camber made it curve back towards the penalty area - and the fans had to shout the players ........... Blackpool player had carried on running ........ you had to be there

yes indeed well done Blackpool - my mate Gary from our Garden is over the moon - he was at Wembley with the family and they were all in tears (of joy) at the end - it's great that teams like this (Burnley last year) with a real history and tradition in the game can come and play if even for a short while with the big boys !!
Commiserations to Cardiff too who really needed the financial benefits from going up - maybe next year for them ??

AT LAST UEFA HAVE DONE SOMETHING GOOD
THE END IS IN SIGHT. THE ONLY THING IS; WE'LL HAVE TO WAIT 4 YEARS FOR IT TO BE FULLY IMPLEMENTED.
STILL A MUCH MORE LEVEL PLAYING FIELD WHERE PRUDENT AND PROFIT MAKING TEAMS WILL STAND A MUCH BETTER CHANCE AND IT MAKES FOR A MORE EXCITING PREMIERSHIP BECAUSE CERTAIN CLUBS WONT BE ABLE TO JUST GO AND BUY WHO THEY WANT FOR STUPID FEES & PAY MENTAL WAGES THAT FAR FAR EXCEED THEIR TURNOVER!!
PROPER WELL RUN CLUBS WHO CUT THEIR CLOTH ACCORDINGLY WILL PREVAIL AND PLAYERS WILL HAVE TO ACCEPT THAT 150K A WEEK (WHICH IS TOTALLY DISGUSTING) IS NO MORE. MAYBE THE FANS WILL FEEL A LITTLE MORE AFFINITY WITH THE PLAYERS AND WE'LL GET "OUR" GAME BACK WITH LESS FOREIGN MERCENARIES COMING OVER.
THE BEST DECISION THEY HAVE EVER MADE.
MY FAITH IS RESTORED.

Jay,
I couldnt agree more, it is right that teams operate within their generated income, there is something immoral and wrong about clubs who can lose millions day to day but not bother because they have the tab picked up by some super rich individual. EUFA should not stop there though. The situation that has happened to us at Old Trafford should never have been allowed under the right and proper person rule and should never be allowed to happen again. You have either got the finance to buy a club or you have not. how can you put a down payment then borrow the rest against the asset putting it in massive debt? I will never understand why the Premier league allowed deals like that to go through, its an absolute scandal.

premier league should have done more but the main problem at gold trafford was that the board approved the deal and they should have had a deeper look at glazer but they were taken in by greed and the thought of more 100 grand a week moneygrabbing superstars appearing on your hallowed turf all great dynastys come to an end brought down from within by greed (romans greeks egyptians etc)now its your turn but could be worse MUFC will survive you could be an owl staring at extinctoin
cheers only 15days to go to sun golf beer and world cup at CDA happy days

Steve,
I have now got my World Cup hat on, so the tribal banter can wait a few months, however, I will just comment on the "end of a Dynasty" sh-te. I know you probably will not remember it but we have had off seasons before where we have been pipped for the League title and people like you come out of the woodwork with the "its all finished for the Mancs" etc. What usually happens is that we win it back the following season and then hang on to it for a season or three before the cycle starts again. Next season is the acid test, lets see what happens then.
Now lets all get behind England to do the business. { that includes my old mate City Dave Roy, who is as English as you and me but for some reason swears loyalty to Scotland and says he is of Scottish blood, because his Great Grandfather while out walking once stroked a Highland Terrier!]

Can't believe your lettin this thread go by, so close to the World Cup. Only just read your last post Dakey. Very good mate had me tittering. Any body other than me goin to Africa? I'm tellin everybody I,m part Spanish now so I,ll have a team to support. U.S.A. will be no push over
Dakey, Cob and some of our lads are goin over on monday to Capetown for the Algeria game. I think it could be an exciting tournament. Spain are very very good but have a perennial under achievment button built in to Worlds cups.
I hope it will be between Spain, Brazil, Argies or Holland. England could scare a few teams if they come through the group unscathed and further injury free. To do well, the big players have to be on top form. Can't see it. Scotland to win in Rio 2014 anyone??
Be in clover for a couple of nights 25th, 26th & 27th June if anyone fancies a pint.
Have a good un lads give us your predictions

Rob Green fielded 150 shots in training this morning and not one got past him! He, along with Emile Heskey will be joining in with the rest of the squad this afternoon!

Lets look at it logically, three players who were deemed not good enough for Liverpool, Crouch, Heskey and James all featured last night. Three other players including the captain played for Liverpool last season, their worst in modern history, a season that resulted in the sacking of the manager. How can anyone who pretends to know anything about football think we can win games at the top international level by picking players who are used to failing? It beggers belief and you dont need to be paid £6 million pounds a year as a so called top manager to work that one out!

It was the final day of the Spanish 2nd division yesterday and it was a bad day for our 'local' teams.
Real Murcia were relegated after only managing a 1-1 draw at Girona. Hard to believe just 2 seasons agao they were in La Liga.
F.C. Cartagena still had an arithmetical chance of promotion but they lost 0-4 at home to Albacete. They still managed to finish a creditable 5th though, in what was their first season in the 2nd division.
Here is the final league table....

Well lads, despite that blooper by the linesman which could have made for a different game at 2-2. Germany absolutely battered us. Did Gerrard break into a jog for the whole game? making Gerrard captain actually turned us into Liverpool, thats how he makes them play every week!
In a way I am glad as I have had £30 quid on Brazil at 11-2, so now I have not got mixed loyalties. just give me the money.
Cheers Dakey

Fellas,
You are right about Rooneys performances, however, he cant have become demoralised by the sh--e around him, could he? It is not Capellos fault that the top teams are packed with foreigners, he can only work with what he is given, but with a Quarter of the squad from Spurs and six players either playing for Liverpool or discarded by Liverpool, not to mention the duffers from City and Villa is anyone really surprised by the outcome? I wanted us to win it as much as the next man but I am not stupid, thats why my hard earned cash has gone on Brazil. They started at 9/2 and I waited until the customary poor first game[ a win by the way] was over and the bookies put them out to 11/2. thank you very much, I took that and I will be able to buy Yvonne a nice bag and a pair of shoes, Not!
cheers Dakey
