You took every opportunity to tell everyone on here about the fantastic low cost life style you had when living in Spain, came back to live in the camels arm pit of Essex, in a caravan, by your own admission clean toilets to supplement your meagre income, and expect people on here to take your posts seriously.

Hugh the link you posted, although very interesting, does not give any real information about Non EU citizens taking residence within the EU. What it actually relates to is updating of entry requirements and TEMPORARY residence of no longer than THREE months, controlled by visa. It is a new updating directive to the Schengen agreement and obviously brings current "free Movement" regulations up to date. The directive has no bearing on long term residence within the EU.

Don't know about an oxymoron and Camels arm Pits but if you have ever been to Jaywick Sands you would see the similarities. And Hugh you too can be rich and successful (But not as me) just try harder.

Broadlands...I shouldn't have been so derogatory to the Camels Armpit, it's probably in better shape then Jaywick Sands.

Slightly off thread.
Have you ever been to Camels Armpit Land,
Where lumps of cheddar cheese float by and kiss you on the hand?
Where peacocks swim in amber pies of orange marmalade jam,
That lie beneath the lemon grass trees of sky blue pink that dot throughout the land?
I have been to Camels Armpit Land and seen such things,
As stinky bogs of eggy bread with moldy toadstool rings.
The Jabberwokky himself lives there with mice from Nong Nang Ning.
The tale which you are reading is the baneful song he sings.
Never go to Camels Armpit Land of things so fair,
As Butter Fluffs and Woodwing Beasts that make their residence there.
They may look friendly, cute, and sweet, but inside they are mean,
And may not let you out again to tell of what you’ve seen.

Mrs T May to put a stop to EU emigration immediately after article 50 is initiated , apparently the UK Government are in fear of half of Bulgaria and half of Romania coming to the UK .

No one could have ever have anticipated what happened next.
No one read 'Mien Kampf'?
Good to see common sense creeping in in your last sentence. We agree then that the comparison between T & H is not valid, if not outrageous.

EU citizens living in the UK have expressed panic and confusion after it emerged new regulations brought in by the Government allow the Home Office to remove some of them from the country if they do not have a comprehensive sickness insurance (CSI).
A briefing published by a barrister revealed that the Home Office acquired controversial new enforcement powers against EU citizens from 1 February.
It warns EU citizens who are not considered to have a "right of residence", including some students and spouses of UK citizens, could be deported or refused entry back into the UK if they leave if they don't have CSI.
The majority of EU nationals living in the UK are entitled to use the NHS, meaning many do not have the suddenly all-important insurance.
The Independent. 28 February.
The British in Europe must now expect the same treatment in future within EU states. In fact it has always been a condition of residency in Spain to have PMI. However removal and refusal of re-entry from the country is something new and bound to prevoke reciprocal actions. This is not going to end well.
In the words of ads, 'it does not need to be like this'.

Isn't this what Tadd was calling for from the outset, to tighten up on rules in the UK and bring it in line with Spain?
Likewise isn't this an inevitability when the EU bureaucrats refused to consider irregular patterns of migration into the UK and refused to review differentials that obviously resulted in a pull factor putting greater pressure on the likes of the NHS and infrastructure etc?
So isn't this measure as a result of prior intransigence to recognise the uncomfortable realities?
It didn't need to be like this if the bureaucrats had responded in a timely fashion to these realities when trying to negotiate in the lead up to the referendum, or for that matter as they approach the Brexit negotiations.

So once again we are blaming the EU for not following our own rules. We are ruled by hypocracy in the UK not democracy!

No it's the fault of the UK government for not putting in place earlier more rigerous rules to cope with EU treaties inevitable concequences. Most EU states did. I have always had PMI in the past to comply with the registration rules in France and Spain.
If people make a new life in a country and follow the regulations in place at the time they should not be subject to sanction if the rules change. It's different for new arrivals but not they who have lived in the UK for some time and contributed to the system.

Not at all...we are ruled by EU bureaucrats who as the current system stands prevent us from controlling "irregualr patterns of migration" and prevent us from acquiring the flexibility to respond to such circumstance, that it currently takes account of with Canada!
Hypocrisy?
